Frost Opera Theater Celebrates the 2013 Benjamin Britten Centennial

Frost Opera Theater students join worldwide 2013 festivities celebrating the centennial of Benjamin Britten’s birth with scenes from the composer’s operatic legacy. Repertoire will include scenes from Britten’s Billy Budd, Death in Venice, The Rape of Lucretia, and more. The program will also include works by UK composers who have followed in Britten’s footsteps. Stage directors include Lee Soroko and Chris O’Connor from the Department of Theater Arts, as well as Tony Boutté and Robynne Redmon from the Frost School of Music Department of Vocal Performance. Music direction by Frost Opera Theater’s program director Alan Johnson.
