One of our most popular concerts of the season, the Frost Symphony Orchestra presents student competition finalists Cecilia Huerta performing the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 (one of the most difficult concerto works for cello), Frank Capoferri performing the ever-popular Creston Saxophone Concerto, and guitarist Bruce Hurley Johnson performing on his own composition winner, Concerto Blue. Professor Thomas Sleeper shares the podium with Columbian-born Andres Jaime, a doctoral conducting candidate at the UM Frost School of Music.
