The Frost Concert Jazz Band performs selections from the 1967 Capitol recording Stan Kenton Conducts the Jazz Compositions of Dee Barton in tribute to Barton’s career as a composer, arranger, trombonist and big band drummer. Barton was also a prolific film composer whose work is featured on such landmark motion pictures as Clint Eastwood’s Play Misty for Me, Every Which Way But Loose, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, High Plains Drifter and Dirty Harry, to name a few. His eerie, horror-genre soundtracks are admired by film buffs worldwide.
