    Frost faculty flute artist Trudy Kane performs music by C.P.E. Bach, Burton and Copland and then invites pianist Paul Schwartz and clarinet professor Margaret Donaghue to the stage to perform a transcription of Claude Debussy’s Petite Suite for flute, clarinet and piano, followed by Madeleine Dring’s Trio for flute, oboe and piano with faculty oboe professor Robert Weiner.

    Prize-winning violinist Charles Castleman performs a dramatic unaccompanied solo recital that includes Bach’s “Chaconne” from Partita in D Minor, Piazzolla’s Tango Etudes, Nos. 2 and 3 and Ysaÿe’s Violin Sonata Op. 27, No. 3 (“Ballade”).

    Frost Flute Ensemble performs a pleasing concert featuring two world premieres of transcriptions from the world of opera by Trudy Kane: “Intermezzo” from Manon Lescaut by Giacomo Puccini, and “Prologue” from Pagliacci by Ruggerio Leoncavallo, both with bass-baritone Kevin Short.
