The Frost School of Music Honor Bands Festival brings 250 talented high school instrumentalists from the State of Florida to the Frost School of Music campus for two days of rehearsals, master classes by Frost artist faculty, and culminates in a final evening concert that is free and open to the public. Prominent conductors from the ranks of the finest university wind band programs work each year with the Honor Wind Ensemble, Honor Symphonic Band, and Frost Wind Ensemble. This year’s guest conductor is Dr. David M. Booth, professor of music and Director of Bands at Wright State University, where he serves as music director and conductor for the Wright State University Wind Symphony and Chamber Players.
