    3. Mancini Institute Orchestra

      Feature listing thumbnail The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra at the Frost School of Music is a highly selective graduate ensemble that is inspiring a whole new spectrum of artistic creation and exploration. The artistic director is film composer James Newton Howard.

    14. Frost Flute Choir

    15. Woodwind Ensemble

    17. Frost Concert Jazz Band

Directed by John Daversa, the ensemble performs music ranging from exciting new contemporary jazz works to swinging classics.

    20. Frost Jazz Sextet

      Feature listing thumbnail The Frost Jazz Sextet is the premiere small instrumental jazz combo at the University of Miami. We perform original music, mostly in the hard bop and modern jazz context, but due to the diversity of our influences, many elements of other styles are present in our work.
    21. Stamps Jazz Quintet

      Feature listing thumbnail The Stamps Jazz Quintet is comprised of five outstanding young jazz musicians who went through a rigorous audition process and are provided generous scholarships and special performance opportunities as a group through the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation and the University of Miami.

    23. Funk/Fusion Ensemble

      The Frost School’s Funk/Fusion Ensemble has won the prestigious Downbeat Student Music Award almost every year for the past seven years including 2010. Their repertoire varies extensively from year to year, ranging from original material to covers by Weather Report, Tribal Tech, Aaron Parks, Avishai Cohen, Joshua Redman, Tower of Power, Soul Live, Herbie Hancock and Mahavishnu Orchestra.

    24. Jazz Guitar Ensembles
