Dan Warner (B.M. '92)

Dan Warner is guitarist, producer and songwriter from Florida.  He was a student of Randall Dollahon from 1988-1992 at the University of Miami. 

As a guitarist, Dan has performed live with many artists including Julio Iglesias, The Bee Gees, Willie Nelson, Queen Latifah, Kelly Clarkson, The Back Street Boys, Jon Secada and Andrea Bocelli.

In the studio, Dan has recorded with some of the biggest names in the record industry including Madonna, Pink, Timbaland, Barbra Streisand, Shakira, Celine Dion, The Hives, The Rapture, Barry Gibb, Nelly Furtado, Alejandro Sanz, Alicia Keys, Chris Cornell, Christina Aguilera, Gloria Estefan, Justin Timberlake and Ricky Martin.

His work as a producer and engineer has garnered him a Grammy and multiple Latin Grammy nominations with artists such as Ricardo Arjona, Luis Fonsi and Tommy Torres.

Dan has written songs with artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Lil Wayne, Luis Fonsi and co-wrote the international hit “Grace Kelly” with British artist Mika from the album “Life In Cartoon Motion” which has sold over 5 Million units worldwide.  The song was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award and has been featured in several major motion pictures including “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” and “What Happens in Vegas.”  In 2008, Dan won an Emmy Award for the song “I’m F***ing Matt Damon” which he co-wrote with comedian Sarah Silverman.

He currently serves as the President of the Florida Chapter of the Grammy/Recording Academy.
