Nick Deysher (B.M. '06)

Nick Deysher (B.M. ‘06) received the prestigious Parents’ Choice Award, Spring 2010 Music category, for his new compilation of original children’s music entitled People, Places and Things, produced and released by In the Nick of Time Music (http://www.inthenickoftimemusic.com).  The music on this CD is perfect for children ages 4 to 8 years old, with fun and memorable songs with a multi-cultural flair.  The Parents’ Choice review stated, “The album begins with the deliciously rhythmic and melodic reggae bath-time song “Scruba duba dub,” before seamlessly segueing into the Soweto (South African) influenced title track… His mastery of many musical styles can be heard in the delta swing, instructive tale of “Alligator Sally,” the funky “Race Car,” the movement game “The Freeze Dance,” and the lovely, Marvin Gaye inspired “Everybody’s Afraid of Something.”… The combination of wit, intelligence, skilled instrumentation and a genuine understanding of what children are all about put this at the top of our list.”
