Course Description and Tuition Information

Group Piano/Guitar and Music Theory: $1350.00*

Students enrolled in the Group Piano/Guitar Course will participate in one 60-minute group lesson per week and one 60 minute group theory class per week. (Theory classes meet on Saturdays). Students are required to attend both the group lesson and the theory class to participate.

Saturday Music Theory Classes: 9:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.

Piano Music Theory and General Music Theory: $625.00*

Theory classes are available to eligible students who are currently taking lessons with a private teacher. Classes cover the fundamentals of music theory, which include: note reading, rhythm reading, ear training, music history, composition, improvisation, theory games, harmonization, and score analysis. Non-piano students should enroll in the general music theory class, which will cover all of the items above, plus specific materials for their instrument.

Jazz Group Piano: $350.00

Intermediate and Advanced Jazz Classes are offered. Students will learn chord progressions, improvisation, different popular & jazz styles and jazz musicianship/theory. Classes meet once a week for 60 minutes on Saturday. This course is meant to supplement a weekly private lesson.

Piano Ensemble Class: $350.00

This course is a unique opportunity for students to experience a group piano class dedicated to ensemble playing along with sight-reading.  The course is divided into two levels: intermediate and advanced.  Each class works on ensemble playing through pieces that require two or more players.
The Weeks Music Library and state of the art Technology Center allows students to record, arrange, and notate music.  Sight-reading drills along with rhythm reading are also incorporated into the class.  Students can enjoy the camaraderie that comes with playing in a group environment. This course is meant to supplement a weekly private lesson.

Music Discovery for 4 and 5 year olds: $1350.00* NEW!

The Music Discovery class is an introduction to music for the young child.  Your child will have fun learning basic music concepts in piano while participating in activities such as singing, ear training, and movement.  A strong music foundation will be established as your child discovers the wonderful world of music!

Music History- For Adults: $350.00 NEW!

This course will cover all musical periods: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, Contemporary and Jazz. Topics include: learning how to listen to music, composer biographies, compositional techniques and historical highlights of each musical period.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are offered for the following instruments: piano, guitar (Jazz/Classical), percussion (Classical, Latin, Brazilian), saxophone (Classical/Jazz), clarinet and flute. Other instruments are available upon request. All private lessons are scheduled individually with the instructor. Payments are made directly to the private instructor and should be paid in full at the beginning of each month. Each instructor will provide private lesson fees. 

* Tuition for Group Classes and Theory Classes includes: full access to organized events through the Preparatory Program, materials, studio classes followed by pizza and bagel parties, master classes, community service performances and a formal recital.
