The Frost School of Music has study-abroad programs in Austria, Holland, England, and Australia. These semester-long programs are designed specifically for Frost School music students in any major. Voice and piano students from the Frost School, as well as other colleges and universities, have the opportunity to study in Salzburg, Austria, during the summer. Additionally, the University Office of International Programs has a wide array of international exchange programs with colleges and universities throughout the world. Faculty advisors work closely with students who wish to take advantage of one of the study-abroad options.
Programs available to UM students include:
Salzburg Summer Program for Vocalists & Pianists
- Edith Cowan University Spring Semester Program
- The Sibelius Academy in Finland
- Music Business Program in England
For programs which are a semester-long, UM financial assistance is available. Additionally, packages are adjusted accordingly since aid such as work-study is not appropriate to be included in the package.
Faculty advisors and studio teachers should be kept “in the loop” when considering international study since some specific requirements cannot be completed in some of the programs.
For general information regarding all international programs at UM, contact the Office of International Education and Exchange Programs.
