Undergraduate students majoring in Music Composition or Commercial Music must submit a portfolio of their compositions in addition to performing an audition on either an instrument or voice. The portfolio requirements are as follows:

Please go to this website, DecisionDesk, register, and submit your portfolio materials to University of Miami Frost School of Music by February 1st.

Entering Freshmen and Transfer Students for the Composition Program
Upload representative samples of several music scores that you have composed.  Scores should be your original works (not arrangements).  You are also encouraged to upload audio files of your compositions if available.  It is preferable that these audio files are recordings of performances, but you may also submit MIDI renditions if necessary.

Entering Freshmen and Transfer Students for the Commercial Music Program
Upload representative samples of several music scores that you have composed.  Scores should be original works.  Arrangements of existing compositions and/or songs (vocal or instrumental) will be considered only if notated scores and audio files of arrangements are included.
