Graduate Keyboard Applicants

Pre-Screening:

All applicants to piano performance degrees must submit a pre-screening via DecisionDesk by December 1. Only those candidates judged by the faculty to be at the highest level will be invited to audition live.

The pre-screening must be a 20-30 minute video recording of varied repertory that displays musical and pianistic accomplishment. Selections to be chosen by the candidate.

On-Campus Audition:

For scholarship and teaching assistantship consideration, all applicants must audition live on-campus.

Keyboard audition dates:  January 25, 2014; February 8, 2014, and February 15, 2014. There are no other audition dates available.

Applicants to the Master of Music:

A 40 to 45 minute program representing three (3) of the following periods:
    •  Baroque
    •  Classical
    •  Romantic
    •  Contemporary

All works are to be performed from memory.

Applicants to the Doctor of Musical Arts:

A 50 to 60 minute program representing all four (4) of the following periods:
    •  Baroque
    •  Classical
    •  Romantic
    •  Contemporary

All works are to be performed from memory.
