The University of Miami Frost School of Music ranks among the most comprehensive and innovative in the nation. Originally founded as a Conservatory of Music in 1926, it continues to offer premiere performance experiences for instrumentalists and vocalists, and a wide spectrum of degree offerings for virtually every area of musical study and research:

The Frost School of Music has pioneered the new Frost Experiential Music Curriculum and was first in the nation to offer degrees in:

    •  Contemporary Guitar

These innovative programs, combined with traditional areas of concentration, offer Frost School of Music students one of the widest choices of career programs of any music school in the nation:

    •  Bachelor of Music degree in nine majors
    •  Bachelor of Arts in Music, which allows students to combine
      music with another discipline
    •  Diploma programs in performance
    •  Numerous graduate programs leading to the Master of Music,
      Master of Science in Music Engineering, Doctor of Musical Arts,
      and Ph.D. degrees
