Festival Miami’s Nuevo Tango in Miami, Part 2 continues its tribute to the musical genius of the late Ástor Piazzolla with exciting jazz band arrangements in nuevo tango (“new tango”) style by Fred Sturm, Gary Lindsay Stephen Guerra and Jeremy Fox. Showcasing the Frost Studio Jazz Band (DownBeat magazine’s 2011 Large Ensemble College Winner), this concert combines the passion and drama of Argentinian tango with the exotic timbres and improvisation of jazz.
