Award winning husband and wife team Nick Deysher and Tracey Freitag have been delighting children and families as the musical group In The Nick of Time for over a decade. Blending various styles and genres of music, In The Nick of Time has something for everyone to enjoy.
Deysher began writing children’s music as a teacher in Massachusetts. The children in his class enjoyed his songs so much that their parents began asking where they could buy his music. In 2001, Deysher released his first solo children’s album, One Man Band. Freitag is a seasoned music theater performer and a graduate of The University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music.
The pair moved to Miami in 2005 where Nick received his master’s degree in record production at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. In 2006, Nick was recognized by the Emmy Academy with the Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship. In 2007, the duo formed In The Nick of Time and released the critically acclaimed album Coconut Groove inspired by their time in Florida. In 2009, their second album People, Places and Things received a Parents’ Choice Gold Award, and 2011’s Making Silly Faces was named one of Parents Magazine’s Top 10 Albums of the Year. Their YoutTube video, “The Dinosaur Song,” has received over 1 million hits. The couple now resides in Massachusetts and is planning the release of their fourth album Fun O’Clock this fall. The pair performs throughout the country, and has appeared on NBC Miami. Their music can be heard on children’s radio stations nationwide.
