Chris Palmer is assistant professor of professional practice and program director for Arts Presenting and Live Entertainment Management Program at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. Chris Palmer holds a B.B.A and an M.B.A. from Belmont University. He currently serves as the Managing Partner for the jazz/gospel a cappella group Take 6, overseeing their worldwide recording and touring affairs. Prior to his career in artist management, Chris worked with Warner Bros. Records for over 20 years. Frost School of Music names 2013 Outstanding Seniors for their academic and artistic excellence.

The University of Miami Frost School of Music announced the Ft. Lauderdale based Georgina Dieter Dennis Foundation has awarded the school $50,000 for vocal scholarships in the academic year 2013-14.

Frost School of Music students were once again well represented in DownBeat magazine’s 36th Annual Student Music Awards, with 11 awards bestowed on ensembles, soloists, arrangers, composers and engineers.
