Effort Certification & Reporting (ECR)
The University implemented a new WEB effort reporting system (ECR) in the summer of 2006 to better comply with the federal government mandate that after-the-fact effort certifications must be completed by all employees whose salary is charged to a federal or federal pass-through sponsored grants and/or contracts.

Principal Investigators and Certifiers: a PowerPoint presentation and a 5 minute video are available for Principal Investigators and all other employees who must certify effort (faculty and staff whose salaries are charged to a grant/contract):

Department administrators: Three Power Point presentations are available for department administrators who need to use the ECR system to review salary charges, correct salary account distribution, and process effort certification as approved by the Principal Investigator and others in a department who charge effort to grants and/or contracts.
