Students who borrow under the Federal Direct Loan Program for the first time are required to complete counseling before their loan proceeds can be released.

As of July 1, 2008 per new federal regulations, any graduate students who will be receiving a Grad Plus Loan for the first time will need to complete or re-take the Entrance Loan Counseling session.

Fall 2010 and Later

If you are accepting loans for Fall 2010 or later, you may complete your counseling requirements by logging into http://www.studentloans.gov.  You will need your pin number.  If you have any questions as you complete the counseling requirements you may contact Office of Financial Assistance or loans.ofas@miami.edu

Summer 2010

If you are requesting forms for Summer 2010, and need to complete an Entrance Loan counseling session, please contact the Office of Financial Assistance at loans.ofas@miami.edu.
