The Office of Student Accounts produces the 1098Ts each year in January for the entire student population.  The tax forms are mailed and postmarked to students by January 31rst. The tax forms provided include the following:

  • Amounts billed for qualified tuition and related expenses
  • Adjustments made for a prior year
  • Scholarships or grants
  • Adjustments made to scholarships or grants for a prior year
  • Half-time status
  • Graduate student status

This form is not required to be included or returned with your tax return. In addition, receipt of the 1098-T form does not indicate eligibility for the tax credit.  Please review the links to the IRS documentation below for information on how to use the 1098-T form. 

To access your 1098-T information online, please login to Your Account and enter your account login information. If you do not have an account with ECSI, please follow the steps noted below to create your account today.

  • 1. Go to Tax Info
  • 2. Click on “Click here to retrieve your login credentials”.
  • 3. Important information required to access the 1098T form, such as a PIN#, will be provided. Please save this information for later use.
  • 4. Click on: “Login Page”
  • 5. Enter required information (school code, SSN, and Pin). The school code for UM is “ACF9”.
  • 6. Click “Login”
  • 7. Under the “My Account Category”:
      a. Click on Tax Information
      b. Click View
