Currently enrolled University of Miami students:

1. Register for Summer Session 2013 at the same time they register for Fall 2013 courses.

2. If not eligible to enroll on line, complete a course request form.

3. Have course request form signed by the advisor in your school/college.

4. Bring signed course request form to Office of the Registrar, located in Room 121 of the Whitten University Center to complete the processing.

Former degree seeking undergraduate UM students not currently enrolled in classes at UM, nor have completed their degree, and are interested in earning undergraduate credit:

1. Submit a one-page readmission application to the Office of the Registrar, Room 121, Whitten University Center, 305-284-2294.

2. Once readmitted, complete a course request form.

3. Have course request form signed by the advisor in your school/college.

4. Bring signed course request form to Office of the Registrar, located in Room 121 of the Whitten University Center to complete the processing.

Individuals not currently enrolled at the University of Miami (students visiting for the summer):

1. Go to the non-degree seeking status web site and submit application($50.00 nonrefundable application fee) with a minimum of 5 business days before the start of the semester.

2. Once approved to register as non-degree seeking student, select your class using the Search for Classes

3. Submit a completed course request form to umnondegree@miami.edu

IMPORTANT: Not attending and/or not paying does not drop you from a course. You need to academically drop the course using a Change of Course form or you may unknowingly acquire an “F” on your academic record or financial penalties. In order to receive a 100% refund of the tuition charges you must complete the formal drop process before the first day of class.
