Currently enrolled University of Miami students:

  1. Register for Summer Term 2015 at the same time they register for Fall 2015 courses.
  2. Enroll online through CaneLink .
  3. If not eligible to enroll online, complete a Class Add Form and have form signed by the advisor in your school/college.
  4. Bring signed Class Add Form to Office of the Registrar.
  5. Students are responsible for their tuition and fees upon Registration (billing is online through CaneLink ).

Former degree seeking undergraduate UM students not currently enrolled in classes at UM, nor have completed their degree, and are interested in earning undergraduate credit:

  1. Submit a one-page readmission application to the Office of the Registrar .
  2. Once readmitted, Enroll online through CaneLink .
  3. If not eligible to enroll online, complete a Class Add Form and have form signed by the advisor in your school/college.
  4. Bring signed Class Add Form to Office of the Registrar .
  5. Students are responsible for their tuition and fees upon Registration (billing is online through CaneLink ).

Individuals not currently enrolled at the University of Miami (students visiting for the summer):

  1. Go to the non-degree seeking status web site , confirm eligibility and status.
  2. Submit application (with nonrefundable application fee) with a minimum of 5 business days before the start of the semester.
  3. Once approved to register in non-degree seeking status (you will be notified by email), select your class using the Search for Classes.
  4. Enroll online through CaneLink .
  5. If not eligible to enroll online, complete a Class Add Form and submit to umnondegree@miami.edu
  6. Students are responsible for their tuition and fees upon Registration (billing is online through CaneLink ).

IMPORTANT: Not attending and/or not paying does not drop you from a course. You need to academically drop the course using a Change of Course form or you may unknowingly acquire an “F” on your academic record or financial penalties. In order to receive a 100% refund of the tuition charges you must complete the formal drop process before the first day of class.
