Experience the University of Miami for a semester, and study among a vibrant and diverse academic community in beautiful South Florida.
The Miami Semester - Visiting Student Program is an academic program for visiting undergraduate students. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking program at a university or college in the United States or abroad.
Domestic and international students can take advantage of the University's specialized areas. Academic programs are designed to highlight courses unique to the University, taking advantage of UM’s geographical location, distinguished faculty, and highly regarded academic resources.
Participating students are required to maintain a standard full load of credits (minimum of 12 credits). Students will take one to two core courses in their chosen academic area, and will choose two to three additional courses from other departments and schools based on individual program requirements, academic interests and course availability.
Students attending fall semester live off-campus. On-campus housing may be available for students attending spring semester, though not guaranteed.
Visiting students are immersed in student life at UM. Students may participate in a range of academic and cultural activities, including student organizations. In addition, students may access the Student Health Center and the world-class fitness center.
Visiting students are responsible for full UM undergraduate tuition and fees.
