The English For Law School Studies is especially designed for international students who will be entering an LL.M or Law School program in the future or are currently participating in an LL.M program. The TOEFL Preparation class provides an intensive review of integrated English language skills like listening, reading, writing, and speaking necessary for success on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). This 24-hour, 6-session course meets on Saturdays and focuses on practicing language skills, test-taking strategies, exercises, and reviews to provide comprehensive TOEFL exam preparation.
In our Business Writing Essentials classes, you will learn to prepare and write a variety of business documents (letters, memos, e-mails, reports, resumes, business proposals, reports, presentations) that are clear, concise, and correct. You will be encouraged to focus on the types of documents that you use in your own work. This course is part of our Certificate in Business Communication.
In our Speaking and Presentations Skills classes, you will learn effective, persuasive verbal communication skills, including preparation, structure, delivery, and use of visual aids. You will practice presentations in every class. This course is part of our Certificate in Business Communication.
The primary goal of this Accent Reduction course is to introduce the advanced student to practical pronunciation techniques and exercises that will result in a reduction of the accent. The class will focus on the specific elements that cause a very pronounced or heavy accent and then the process of modifying those elements. This course meets on Saturdays and is for Advanced level students of English as a Second Language.
