The IEP offers a variety of activities to give students the opportunity to learn and use English outside the classroom and to further introduce them to American culture and university life. IEP activities include off-campus trips to Universal Studios in Orlando; ropes courses, Florida Keys for snorkeling, Museum Tours, and picnics on the beach; on-campus activities include events such as International Thanksgiving, ice cream socials, 4th of July BBQ's, and more! IEP students with F-1 visas may work on the campus of the University of Miami only for a maximum of 20 hours a week when class is in session.
Please consult with the Associate Director if you plan to travel outside of the United States during your time as an IEP student. You will need to make sure that your immigration information and documents are current. Learn more about traveling with your F-1 visa
