Our Purpose
We specialize in the psychosocial treatment
of individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families.
We view each person as being multifaceted: physical, emotional, social,
intellectual, and spiritual. Our overall goal is to promote health
and well being through helping people achieve greater balance among these
various facets. Although our primary focus is on individuals who
have been diagnosed with cancer and their families – no matter how long
ago – our services are also available to non-cancer and non-medical patients
as well. Index

How To Find Out
More About Us
Brochures describing our mission, treatment
philosophy, and available services are available throughout UM/Sylvester.
If you would like to have a supply of our brochures on hand to give to
your patients, we would be happy to provide you with some. We would also
be happy to arrange an "inservice" with your staff to better educate them
about the range of services available to your patients. Feel free to stop
by, or call us at (305) 243-4129. If you would like to give us feedback
about this document, please email Dr. Susan Yount at syount@miami.edu.
