Founded in 1930, the University of Miami Alumni Association is YOUR UM CONNECTION to more than 154,000 living alumni. Governed by a volunteer board of directors, the UMAA is committed to encouraging lifelong education, providing quality services and programming, and assisting in the continued development and enhancement of the University of Miami.
UMAA Members have a number of benefits available to make your return visit to campus more enjoyable and memorable. Your Alumni ‘Cane Card is your official alumni ID, offering access to the Otto G. Richter Library, the Wellness Center (separate membership required) and to get discounts at the University Book Store.
Miami Alumni Net is a networking system that contains an online alumni directory and ‘Cane Connections, a career networking system.
The Robert and Judi Prokop Newman Alumni Center is more than a new building. It’s a gift to our graduates in honor of all of their achievements.

Regular, annual support from all alumni is an important part of UM’s success. The Annual Fund is composed of gifts of up to $25,000 that go directly into the University’s operating budget each year.
