Young Alumni Spotlight

Devang Desai, A.B. ’97, J.D. ’03, has had superior involvement with the University as both a student and alumnus. As a student, Devang was involved in an extensive list of campus organizations including president of the Student Bar Association; membership in Iron Arrow, and Society of Bar and Gavel; and service as Interim Ombudsperson and Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Following graduation, love for his alma mater continued through service as a Legal Officer for Student Discipline through the Office of the Dean of Students, membership on the University of Miami School of Law Alumni Board, membership on the Greater Miami Alumni Club Board of Directors, and participation with UM Alumni Association ad hoc committees and task forces. Devang is member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and has served as the chapter advisor for the past five years as well as the Sunshine Regional President. In addition, he advises the Vice-President for Student Affair’s Task force on Deferred Recruitment. Recently, he received the inaugural University of Miami School of Law Society of Bar and Gavel Alumni Leadership Award. The UM Alumni Association proudly recognizes Devang for his continued commitment to the University.
