2005 Series Featured Presenter
Andrew Unanue, B.B.A. ’91, Andrew Unanue’s entrepreneurial spirit was born from the diversity and experiences
he acquired while growing up in the Goya family and eventually becoming
chief operating officer of GOYA Foods, the largest Hispanic food company in
the United States, at the age of 32.
His business savvy developing the strategic global marketing of GOYA, as well as managing its sales, advertising, and media relations, quickly paved the path to his next challenge as an entrepreneur. A true maverick, following 15 years at GOYA Foods Unanue launched his own international marketing company, AU & Associates, LLC, specializing in investment management, contract negotiations, and consulting services with a focus on the integration of Latino products into the U.S. market.
Always in search of challenging new ventures, Unanue recently set his sights on the competitive arena of restaurant/club/lounge and entertainment properties. With his keen understanding of lifestyle marketing concepts, he created the New York City hotspot AER. Unanue has embraced a more entrepreneurial approach to building what he believes will be the next big luxury brand in the travel, destination, and lifestyle industry.
Unanue also serves as operating executive, board member, and senior advisor to Palladium Equity Partners, a private equity and investment firm specializing in the Hispanic marketplace.
