Welcome to the Air Force ROTC Program at the University of Miami. It's a challenge. It's an opportunity. It's a head-start on a lifetime of success, within the Air Force and in everything you choose to do.

Air Force ROTC is a college program offered at over 1000 colleges and universities across the U.S. that prepares you to become an Air Force officer.


AFROTC Mission Statement

The mission of the Air Force Reserve Officer's Training Corps is:
"Develop Quality Leaders for the Air Force"

UM SUBSIDY

All University of Miami undergraduates enrolled in the Air Force ROTC program are assured annual combined University grant and/or scholarship resources amounting to one quarter* of the University's tuition for up to four years. Students must maintain continuous enrollment in the Air Force ROTC program and full time enrollment in one of the University's undergraduate degree programs. No application required. Awards are made automatically based on information provided by the University's Air Force ROTC detachment.

*Assured amount is lower if the total of all scholarships, grants and/or stipends received by the student would exceed the student's cost of attendance for the academic year, as determined by the University Of Miami Office Of Financial Assistance Services .

Besides tuition fees, Air Force ROTC offers the following for those on a scholarship:

Monthly Stipend
Freshman $300.00
Sophomores $350.00
Juniors $450.00
Seniors $500.00

Textbook Allowance: $900 per year
