Financial Aid
Financial aid at the University of Miami may include University,
government, and private funding in the form of gift aid, education loans,
and work-study. It is estimated that University of Miami students will
receive approximately $420 million in financial assistance in 2013-2014.

Our staff works closely with prospective and current students to help
ensure their understanding of how financial aid works, the overall cost
of attending UM and other financial resources to consider.

Gift Aid:

Real World Experience

It's the real world experience they attain through our hands-on, early on approach to learning.

It's the opportunity to experience diverse cultures which helps students better prepare for a global world.

How to Apply For Financial Aid:

FAFSA and CSS / Financial Aid PROFILE
To be considered for all types of need-based aid, students must submit both the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS / Financial Aid PROFILE (PROFILE).

1. FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for state and federal need-based aid including direct loans, federal work study and grants.

2. CSS / Financial Aid PROFILE is used to determine your eligibility for University of Miami institutional need-based funds. Download the Student Guide for instructions on completing the CSS PROFILE. . Completing the CSS /Financial Aid Profile will only determine your eligibility for institutional need-based funding from the University of Miami - it will not affect your eligibility for Federal Aid as determined by the FAFSA.
