Freshmen choose from four application options: Early Decision I, Early Action, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision.

Application Options

EARLY DECISION I (EDI)

EARLY DECISION I (EDI) is our early, binding application option for applicants who are committed to attending UM if admitted. EDI applicants will receive admission decisions and estimated financial aid awards in late December. Deadline: November 1

EARLY ACTION (EA)

EARLY ACTION (EA) is our early, non-binding application option. EA applicants will receive admission decisions in mid-January. Deadline: November 1

EARLY DECISION II (EDII)

EARLY DECISION II (EDII) is an additional binding application option for applicants who are committed to attending UM if admitted but need more time to apply. EDII applicants will receive admission decisions and estimated financial aid awards in mid-February. Deadline: January 1

REGULAR DECISION (RD)

REGULAR DECISION (RD) is our final deadline. RD applicants will receive admission decisions by mid-April. Deadline: January 1

*To be considered for all types of need-based financial assistance, complete both the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (PROFILE) and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who wish to receive Pell Grants or Federal Direct Loans only must complete the FAFSA.

Supplemental applications, materials, and instructions for Architecture, Frost School of Music, and the Bachelor of Fine Arts Programs in Art and Theatre Arts can be found at miami.edu/applyspecial.

Candidates for Dual-Degree Programs must submit all materials by November 1.
