At UM, your education doesn’t stop when you leave the classroom. Opportunities to learn and grow abound both in the classroom and out.  A few of them:

Undergraduate Research
Starting in your freshman year, you’ll have the opportunity to “learn by doing” as you participate in undergraduate research projects that pair you with a faculty mentor.

Study Abroad
The world is your classroom when you participate in one of our overseas studies programs. You can take architecture in Madrid or history in Hong Kong; you’ll see how living and learning abroad offers opportunity to grow as a citizen of the world.

At UM, the range of opportunities is amazing.  Biomedical engineering students work in industry; communications students report from the road; political science students serve in Washington, D.C. Freshmen can also take advantage of the Miami Commitment.

Summer Programs
At Miami, summer is the time to stride outside your comfort zone. The Division of Continuing and International Education offers experience-building courses.  You’ll also find Summer & Intersession programs in Italy, England, and more.
