To successfully apply to a Dual-Degree Honors Program, you must complete both a standard University of Miami Common Application, as well as a separate Dual-Degree Honors Program Supplemental Application for to your desired program, by November 1.

When applying to the University of Miami, you may utilize any of our application options within the standard Common Application– Early Decision, Early Action or Regular Decision- as long as it is submitted by November 1.

Honors Program in Medicine (HPME)
The Honors Program in Medicine (HPME) is offered to mature high school seniors with strong academic ability and achievement who seek careers in medicine or medical science. Students can earn both a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and a Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) in 7 or 8 years.

Honors Program in Marine Geology (HPMG)
The five-year B.S./M.S. degree in Marine Geology allows exceptional students to pursue an accelerated program in the undergraduate Geological Sciences and graduate Marine Geology & Geophysics programs. The degree consists of an undergraduate Bachelor of Sciences degree in Geological Sciences from the College of Arts & Sciences, combined with a graduate Master of Science degree from the Division of Marine Geology and Geophysics at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, one of the country's leading oceanographic institutions.

The Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences offers a 5-year program for promising students majoring in Exercise Physiology. Very highly qualified students are eligible to complete an accelerated 4-year program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology following by one additional year of graduate coursework.
