Admission and financial aid applications that remain incomplete after the deadline will be at a distinct disadvantage and likely will not be admitted. Institutional funds may not be available to student aid applications which remain incomplete after the published deadline.

2. Click on 2017-2018 FAFSA. (available October 2016)

Parent’s Statement

When you complete the PROFILE, you will be given instructions for the on-line Noncustodial Parent’s Statement. If you cannot access this form, please call and request one from our office.

Your noncustodial parent. This is the parent with whom you do not live. If you do not believe you will be able to complete the Noncustodial Parent Statement, please contact OSFAE to discuss your options.

Important Tips:
 
Apply for an FSA ID from the Department of Education early: fsaid.ed.gov
 
Be sure all required signatures are provided on paper applications, or signature pages are printed and mailed in absence of PIN#.
 
Keep a checklist and copies of all forms submitted. Put the applicant’s name and UM’s ID# on all forms submitted.
 
Check your Canelink Account before the deadline to confirm our receipt of your aid application materials.
 
Use your best estimates of 2015 income information when completing the FAFSA and PROFILE if your federal returns have not been completed by the filing deadline. Submit your complete SIGNED 2015 federal tax returns to our office by the required deadline.
 
If you are not required to file a federal tax return and will not be filing, please notify us in writing and submit your 2015 Employer W-2s (if applicable).
