About Me:
I’m originally from Hagaman, NY and attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Outside of the office you will most likely find me doing anything active since I have a huge passion for health and wellness and teach fitness classes on the side. If I’m looking to relax, I’ll head over to South Pointe Park and watch the amazing sunset as the cruise ships go by. That’s what Miami is all about!
Why UM?
I love that UM offers so much to a relatively small student body. We have opportunities that most students would only have access to at a large institution, whether it be academic or social. Additionally, our students have the most amazing pride in being ‘Canes. Their enthusiasm is infectious and makes you want to attend school here.
What is your favorite campus event?
Ironically, my favorite campus event is Homecoming! It probably seems strange considering I didn’t attend school here, but seeing the excitement that alums have about Homecoming makes me appreciate working for an institution that people love so much even more. My favorite place on campus is sitting on the UC patio during lunch with my fun co-workers on a crisp, winter day because it’s still 70 degrees.
What advice would you give a high school student applying to UM?
Make sure it’s the right fit for you. When you come to visit campus, don’t just take a tour and attend an information session. Request to sit in on a class, talk to a professor or with current students to determine if you can picture yourself here.
