IGS – Interdisciplinary global studies
Interdisciplinary global studies is designed to introduce undergraduate and graduate students to the comprehensive nature of world affairs, and these courses are team taught by faculty and distinguished experts from the host country on economics, politics, culture, and special topics.

Address Latin America’s relations with the USA, EU, church, and global civil society. Begin your studies in Miami and continue them on site in Buenos Aires. Most instruction is delivered in Spanish but exams are in English (please contact the professor for further information).

Fee: $1,350 (estimated) per credit for graduate tuition. Students also must pay for their airfare, meals, and admission to cultural programs.
Note: Students stay in dorms at 25 Shevchenko Street at Vasilevsky Island. The cost is approximately $15 a night per person.

Note: This course is suitable to graduates as well as undergraduates. It is open to students of St. Petersburg State University, Russia. It may be taken as an elective to fulfill the requirements of MAIA degree.
Address the US’s relations with the Latin America, EU, church, Islam and global civil society. This is a truly interdisciplinary course with about a dozen University of Miami faculty members taking part. Learn from historians, political scientists, sociologist, and religion experts. Emerge with knowledge in a range of contemporary issues affecting US relations with the world.
