  • Optics and instrumentation for cataract surgery to restore accommodation (Phaco-Ersatz surgery)
  • Optimization of vision correction procedures (Corneal reshaping, Intra-ocular lenses)
  • Study of the optical and mechanical properties of the human crystalline lens, accomodation, and presbyopia.
  • Image guided laser interstitial thermotherapy (LITT) for the treatment of breast cancer tumors.
  • Study of laser-tissue interactions for the optimization of surgical procedures in ophthalmology, otolaryngology and urology.
