Semester and Year Programs
The Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (VU), located near the old, historic area of Vienna, is one of the most prestigious and oldest business schools in Europe.  The VU is consistently rated among the top institutions in the Germany, Austria, Switzerland area for international business. The University has approximately 1,250 professors and staff members and over 22,000 students from around the world.  Since its establishment in 1898, this institution has received international recognition for its high quality education in the fields of business and economics. Participants in this program also will benefit from Vienna’s central location in Europe and the city’s rich cultural environment.

The University offers a wide variety of courses taught in the English language in business and economics. Students can also take German language courses, offered at all levels, at the University.

Prerequisites
Business majors or minors only. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Room and Board
UM students are guaranteed a room in one of several residence halls. Two students share one room. Students may also choose to live in private accommodations. The VU will help students find private accommodations.

Language and Orientation Program
In the two weeks prior to the start of the semester, the International Office provides an orientation program that gives exchange students an overview of life at VU and in Vienna, as well as an intensive German language course.

Fall Semester: Early October to mid-December
Spring Semester: Early March to late June
Academic Year: Early October to late June
