Digital Signal Processing Laboratory

Digital Signal Processing Laboratory

The Digital Signal Processing laboratory is used to teach EEN 437 - Real-Time Digital Signal DSP Laboratory, EEN 415/416 - Senior Project I and II, and EEN 419- Senior Project. Students who are experimenting with software and hardware DSP solutions for other courses also use it. Teaching activities focus on a sequence of courses in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and applications. These courses are: EEN 436 - Introduction to Digital Signal Processing, EEN 437 - Real-Time Digital Signal Processing Laboratory, EEN 536 - Digital Signal Processing and EEN 540 - Digital Speech and Audio Processing. The Laboratory has seven Dell Precision 330 PCs, Labtec AM22 headsets, Shure microphones and stands, Matlab for Windows and Unix, a complete set of Analog Devices DSP Development Tools that includes ten fixed-point and two floating-point DSP cards with audio and serial port interface, two hardware development systems and two software development systems.
