RESEARCH:
My main research interests lie in the following two areas:
Statistical signal processing, wireless communications and networking, and information theory
Bioinformatics and computational system biology
In the first area, I currently focus on cross-layer cooperative communications and collaborative signal processing for wireless ad hoc and sensor netoworks. I have worked on various topics in this area including transmit diversity and beamforming for multi-antenna (MIMO) systems, adaptive modulation, diversity and interference supression for OFDMA and multicarrier CDMA systems, multiuser detection for CDMA systems, fading channel modeling and estimation, and hybrid ARQ.

In the second area, I am focusing on microarray data analysis, genetic network modeling and simulations, and genetic regulatory motif identification.
