    The CaneNet Connection @ Richter services are exclusively for currently enrolled students of the University of Miami.

In order for services to be performed the student must agree to and sign the Installation Waiver.

In order for service to be performed on a system the student must provide the following:
  • AC Adapter
  • CD/DVD Rom Drive
  • All necessary cables and system CD's
If the service being performed by the CaneNet Connection is the configuration of the WirelessCanes and /or CaneNet services the owner of the system must remain with the system at all times.

The CaneNet Connection can only perform advanced services on PCs with Windows XP or Vista currently installed on the system.

The CaneNet Connection @ Richter can only perform hardware support on Dell brand PCs that are currently under warranty.

If the service being performed by the CaneNet Connection is an extended service such as virus/spyware scans, OS reinstallations, or data backup/restore. The owner of the system will be required to drop the system off in order for it to be serviced.

In order for a computer that has been dropped off for extended services to be retrieved the owner of the computer must bring a picture ID to verify their identity. Accepted forms of identification are:
  • Canecard
  • State issued drivers license or ID card
  • Government issued ID or Passport
