• The University you are transferring to may have a form your International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) advisor needs to complete regarding your F-1 or J-1 record. Please bring this form to ISSS along with the completed Transfer Out Form and your Form I-94. Please note that J-1 students who are participants in a J-1 program other than the University of Miami’s J-1 program must request the transfer of their SEVIS record from their J-1 program sponsor, not from ISSS. • Please allow five business days for processing of your request to transfer out of the University of Miami. Your transfer will be effective in SEVIS on the date you have requested, and only then will your new school have access to your SEVIS record and be able to issue a new Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 for you. • Please e-mail your ISSS advisor if you have any questions regarding transferring out of the University of Miami. |
