Lewis Temares Entrepreneurship Forum sponsored by the College of Engineering will host an internationally successful entrepreneur, to share his personal story of challenges faced while building his business. This is an interactive event in which the audience is encouraged to ask questions and share their perspective on entrepreneurship. After the Forum, there is a networking reception.  The event is free and open to the public but reservations are required.

Who: Robert Newman, founder of J.D. Edwards & Company and owner of Greenwood Gulch Ventures, a venture capital company. Newman and his wife (a UM Board of Trustee) are generous supporters of the University.  He sits on a number of small company Boards and operates GolfTEC.

When/Where: April 17 at 6:00 p.m. followed by networking reception at 7:30 p.m. at the Hurricane 100 Room of the BankUnited Center 1245 Dauer Drive, University of Miami, Coral Gables campus. To reserve your space call Maria Pando at 305-285-6764 or mpando@miami.edu

Why: The forum is held annually in the spring, to offer a unique opportunity for students, alumni and professionals to gather and exchange insights on entrepreneurship success in today's fast-changing economy.  The event was named for the former Dean of the College of Engineering M. Lewis Temares.
