The UMPD Recuritment/ Background Investigations Unit is responsible for (1) overseeing all UMPD recruitment and selection efforts, (2) conducting background investigations on UMPD applicants, (3) coordinating Police Training efforts and (4) working towards IACLEA professional law-enforcement certification for the UMPD.
