Bart Chernow's Biography

Bart Chernow
Vice provost for Technology Advancement and Vice President for Special Programs and Resource Strategy, University of Miami

Bart Chernow, M.D., a former vice dean of research at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, was named vice provost for technology advancement and vice president for special programs and resource strategy at the Miller School of Medicine in 2007. In his role, Chernow, who is internationally renowned for his research and teaching in the field of critical care medicine, is helping the Miller School dramatically accelerate its activities in translational research, technology transfer, wellness initiatives, and global medicine. In addition to serving at Johns Hopkins, he was an associate professor at Harvard Medical School and was involved in several biotech and med-tech start-up companies.
