Mission
The President’s 100 organization believes in integrity, commitment and the ideals of the University of Miami. A sense of camaraderie and understanding among members is achieved through our enthusiasm and pride in P100. Through our activities, we strive to provide quality service to UM, all of its students and the global community.
Concept
To maintain a group of approximately one hundred student ambassadors who are involved in sharing information about the University of Miami and articulating its goals. The students in this selective organization maintain a working relationship with University faculty and administrators and serve in an organized capacity as ambassadors to both the internal and external communities.
Responsibilities
Presidential Tasks: Serve when requested as representatives of the student body to visiting dignitaries, faculty, administrators and donors. Other activities may be required.
Campus Tours and Information: Guide a minimum of two scheduled tours per month to various groups who visit campus, including prospective students and parents, alumni, youth groups, church groups and civic organizations. Provide groups with information from the perspective of a University of Miami student.
Recruitment: Participate in off-campus programs for prospective students including the Hometown High visitation program to the student’s former high school. Additionally, participation in three Open House programs is required.
Public Affairs Resource: Host visitors and dignitaries at presidential receptions and other functions for the University. Serve as needed in University publication photos, video productions and electronic communication.
Special Events: Serve as student representatives for special University-sponsored events.
