Glenda Hayley, Director

| Glenda Hayley has been with the International Education and Exchange Programs (IEEP) since 1994. Prior to working in study abroad, she was the Director of Corporate Relations for customized professional development programs, many of which dealt with corporations from abroad. In addition to being the Director of IEEP, she manages exchange programs in Australia, Singapore, Korea, China, France, and Switzerland. Glenda received a BA in Spanish from the University of Colorado and an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Miami. She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain as an undergraduate. Originally from Hawaii, Glenda worked in El Salvador and lived in Hong Kong prior to settling in Miami. Glenda has been professionally active in NAFSA (an organization for international educators) as part of the Trainer Corps and has given presentations at national conferences.

Elyse Resnick, Manager

Elyse Resnick received a Bachelors degree in History from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she spent a semester abroad during her junior year in Lugano, Switzerland. She received a Master's degree in International Relations from Boston University's graduate center in Brussels, Belgium. Throughout her studies, she participated in a variety of international volunteer projects, such as humanitarian aid work at refugee camps in Croatia during the Balkan's war, and social work with underprivileged children in Israel. She worked for three years in Ecuador at the Universidad Del Pacifico as the Director of International Programs before joining the University of Miami in the office of International Education and Exchange Programs.

Kefryn Block Reese, Manager

A native of Miami, Florida, Kefryn is a firm believer that everyone must leave home to find home. Kefryn's first adventure abroad was through the People to People student ambassador program as a high school student. She earned her B.A. from Boston College, graduating with a major in Hispanic Studies and a minor in Latin American studies. During her undergraduate career she was awarded a NSEP/Boren Scholarship to study in Buenos Aires, Argentina and completed a semester abroad in Mérida, Venezuela. Upon graduation, Kefryn was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Madrid to research the work of Cuban-exile writers living in Spain. She completed her first year of graduate studies in Spanish Literature at the Universidad de Granada and holds an M.A. in Spanish from Florida International University. Kefryn has traveled extensively through Europe and Latin America and has a passion for art of Flamenco.

Jasmine Phillips, Manager

Jasmine's passion for study abroad began as a high school exchange student to Bahia, Brazil during the tenth grade. She later studied abroad in Victoria, Brazil; Bonn, Germany; and Seoul, Korea, and was the recipient of the Freeman Asia award. Jasmine earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science from Yale University and her master's degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. Upon graduation, she coordinated a youth program and led a group of high school students on a study abroad program to Zambia. Prior to joining the office of International Education and Exchange Programs, Jasmine served as Director of Education Abroad at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her contributions to the education abroad field include research on the recruitment of non-traditional students and the use of online mediums as promotional tools.

Erica Jolman Senior Staff Associate

As an administrative assistant for the International Education and Exchange Programs Erica Jolman works closely with the director and the advisors. She schedules appointments for inquiring students and assists the director by corresponding with students coming from and going to Australia, China, France, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Switzerland, as well as the Washington semester students.
Erica graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BA in Spanish. While at EMU she studied abroad in Querétaro, México on a faculty-led program. After graduating she moved to Spain for a few months to volunteer at a small café near Málaga. In January of 2007 Erica moved to beautiful Miami for the opportunity to work with students and staff who share her passion for international education.
