IEP Student Life

Students of all ages and professions, from over 100 different countries, have come to study English at the University of Miami Intensive English Program (IEP) and we value our students' uniqueness and diversity. We also understand, however, that studying overseas for the first time can be challenging. That's why at the IEP students can rely on our faculty and administrative staff for friendly advice and guidance. We're here to help students feel at ease and adjust more comfortably to the language and culture of the United States.

Our goal is to offer a well-balanced combination of course work and extra-curricular activities. As a result, IEP students have access to a variety of activities both in and beyond the classroom. In addition to taking local field trips with their classes, students also participate in local cultural and recreational events From a traditional Independence Day picnic to a festive International Thanksgiving Celebration, every effort is made to help students feel at home in American culture.
