What is PIM?

 


The Performance Improvement Management (PIM) training series is a highly interactive
series of four half days and one 2-hour follow-up session. It is open to all managers and
supervisors. The goal of the series is to set the expectations for leaders at the University
of Miami
and develop the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage your
employees’ performance.

The course is comprised of three modules - Role of the Manager, The Performance
Improvement Management Process and Documentation. The following are some of
the course objectives:

Assess your skill in performance improvement
Conduct an effective performance conference
Explore the impact of non-performance improvement management
Assess and analyze performance gaps and develop appropriate interventions
Develop and implement action plans to ensure performance change
Give constructive feedback
Document performance issues appropriately

 

 

To register, go to ULearn and follow the instructions to enroll in the session you want. Sessions are held in the Dominion Parking Garage building and/or the Max Orovitz building. Space is limited so register early.
