The MAIA degree is designed specifically for:

• Students and professionals who seek employment or advancement in international government service or international organizations
• Professionals who seek to upgrade their skills, who seek to market themselves internationally, or who are employed in multinational enterprises
• Business executives in transition from domestic to international markets
• Foreign business executives seeking an understanding of the world from a United States perspective
• International journalists, especially those moving into management roles.
• Academics, particularly from technical fields, who require understanding of international relations
• Career military personnel, particularly those who wish to become or advance as military attachés

Although MAIA is a professional degree in applied International Relations, the possibility of students proceeding to PhD programs or Law School is not excluded.
