Accounting and Finance Bootcamp

Understanding the basics of accounting and finance is essential for international administration professionals.  This two-day, non-credit, free workshop offered each autumn covers key subjects essential for multinational organizations, non governmental organizations, international organizations, and not-for-profit companies.

 

Accounting & Finance for Non-Business Majors

The primary emphasis of this bootcamp is to help students develop an understanding of fundamental accounting concepts.  In the process, students will also develop an awareness of the language in a business environment, an appreciation of accounting, and skills in decision making.   Vital subjects such as: budgeting systems, managerial accounting, how to read financial reports, compound interests, and investment basics will covered.  

 

Taxation of Multinational Transactions and Other Related Business Considerations

This bootcamp provides a framework for assessing international taxation and its affect on the strategy, investment and financial plans, and operating decisions of US individuals and multinational corporations investing overseas and non US individuals and corporations investing in the US.  Vital subjects such as: residence, source rules, foreign tax credits, tax treaties, and transfer pricing will be covered.
